One thing Sarah Robinson loves more than a homemade meal is a great headline. Her love for writing formed at a young age when she would write short stories and share them with her family. Sarah went on to attend The University of Southern Mississippi. While there, she found ways to hone in on her craft and wrote several specials to the Hattiesburg Post, where she had her first publication printed. She also wrote for The Pursuit, a student-led public relations magazine.
Sarah’s desire to learn has always kept her meeting new people and finding ways to gain experience outside of the classroom. She served as the Campus Relations and Marketing Intern for the Southern Miss Physical Plant where she was awarded the PRAM Award of Excellence for her part in implementing a social media plan for a campus-wide anti-litter campaign. She also served as Social Media Coordinator to a local business while in school. She graduated with a B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations.
After graduation, Sarah knew she wanted to start her career somewhere that she could grow and learn more. She packed up her bags and moved to Charleston to work for a political consulting and issue advocacy agency, SPEAK Strategic. During her time there, she learned innovative strategies to handle crisis and how to prepare for them in the future. She worked with issue advocacy groups to bring their vision to life and create awareness surrounding their cause. She spent time attending City Council and Tourism Commission meetings to build relationships that would be beneficial to her client’s needs. She also worked with HOA groups to resolve issues happening in their communities.
Sarah’s passion for building relationships and storytelling motivates her to leave everything better than she has found it.
She recently married her husband, Graham, who is an environmental geologist, and they live in West Ashley with their dog, Rosie.
