Raleigh, North Carolina (November 19, 2020) – Strategic communications firm, NP Strategy, strengthens its media relations expertise and continues a trend of growth in North Carolina with the addition of Jasmine Spencer. The former journalist and corporate communications professional will work in the Raleigh office, serving NP Strategy’s clients as a media relations specialist.
“We are thrilled to add another former journalist to our team,” said Heather Matthews, NP Strategy CEO. “It is important to our team and our clients that we’re able to provide exceptional service as it relates to communicating with the media and the stories we tell the general public.”
After Spencer graduated from Elon University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, she became a multimedia journalist for WCTI News Channel 12 in New Bern, N.C. During her time there, Spencer’s coverage on Hurricane Irene was featured on CNN. She continued her on-air career as an anchor and reporter for WGHP FOX8 News in High Point, N.C. for nearly a decade. In this role, she covered general assignments and placed more than 50 adoptable children nationwide through “Forever Family,” a special feature program.
After leaving the journalism industry, Spencer transitioned to corporate communications and worked for a private jet manufacturing company. In this role, Spencer managed social media accounts, created internal communications content and led international digital video campaigns.
“I am very excited to be a part of the growing NP Strategy team and offer my versatile talents to the growing list of clients,” said Jasmine Spencer. “This is a wonderful opportunity to mold my skill set and cater to client’s needs.”
